Ms. Vicente received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017, majoring in English literature and gender & women's studies. She has enjoyed singing since elementary school and is passionate about choral music, having once sung in four choirs at one time. Her other hobbies include digital art and graphic design, which she is happy to utilize for marketing projects in her position at the Community Music School.
Ms. Vicente served as Co-Chair for Lawrence University's Staff Connections Committee during the 2020-21 academic year, in which she led all-staff meetings, worked to create more inclusive and comprehensive communication methods, and advocated for increased staff representation that began the committee's transition into Staff Governance. She currently serves as a diversity point person for the university, working to ensure equity in all stages of the hiring process.
