Isaac Schwartz '11 - Trumpet

He holds a trumpet and stands outside.Isaac Schwartz is currently the band director at Winneconne Middle School in Winneconne, WI, where he directs the 6th grade band, 7th/8th grade band, jazz band, pep band, modern band, and teaches kindergarten music. Prior to teaching in Winneconne, Isaac taught band in West Fargo, ND for five years and in Clintonville, WI for two years. During his time in Clintonville, Isaac was the trumpet player for the popular variety band Boogie and the Yo-Yo'z. Together with the group he traveled all over Wisconsin as well as into Iowa, Florida, and Arizona, performing over 70 shows each year. Isaac is now a member of Vento Winds, a wind ensemble in Appleton dedicated to high-quality musicianship and music education. Isaac graduated from Lawrence University in 2011 and completed his master’s degree in Music Education from Ithaca College in 2019. He has studied trumpet with John Daniel, Frank Campos, Tom Strait, and Jeremy Brekke. In his spare time he enjoys running, composing, and spending time with his wife, Mary Kate.
