A supportive musical community is one of the distinguishing characteristics of the Lawrence Community Music School, and we are grateful for an appreciative community that celebrates our students' achievements.
Performance represents an essential part of a student's musical growth, and students are urged to take advantage of opportunities to perform and to listen to others perform. Lawrence Community Music School performances include departmental recitals, general student recitals, honors recitals, faculty recitals, master classes, and numerous performances by our ensembles during the year. Families are encouraged to attend as many performances as possible throughout the year. Visit our Recital FAQ for more information about recital attendance.

The Honors Recital is free and open to the public.
Master Classes and Guest Artists
Over the course of each academic year, guest teaching artists from other parts of the country visit the Lawrence Community Music School. Students who study with Community Music School or Conservatory teachers are nominated to participate. Master classes are always free and open to the public.
