LYSO Audition Request Form

The Lawrence Youth String Orchestra (LYSO) is the preparatory orchestra for the Fox Valley Symphony Youth Orchestra program. The orchestra provides dedicated string students a first opportunity to rehearse and perform engaging orchestral music within an ensemble of motivated peers. Please fill out the form below to request an audition.

2024-25 Season Auditions

Schedule: Saturday, May 4 - Lawrence Community Music School
Eligibility: String students entering grades 5-8 in the fall (Students who study with a private instructor and meet audition requirements may audition in grade 4.)
Tuition: Should your student be offered a position in LYSO, tuition for the 2024-25 spring session is $275 + a $19 annual registration fee.
- Tuition assistance is available to those who demonstrate financial need.
