Chamber Ensembles

Community Guidelines Tuition Assistance
Chamber music is a form of classical music that is composed for a small group of instruments—traditionally a group that could fit in a palace chamber or a large room. Chamber ensembles are a wonderful complement to private lessons and large ensemble experience; these small groups provide a different way of listening, responding, and playing. Open to string musicians, groups are formed based on ability, experience, and instrumentation. All chamber ensembles meet for weekly coaching sessions and perform in recitals in January and April.
Students interested in participating but for whom cost may be an issue are encouraged to let us know at the point of registration. The Carol Leybourn Chamber Music Scholarship Fund is available to assist those who qualify for tuition assistance and may also be available as a prize for new students who demonstrate a high level of interest and motivation.
