Lawrence Community Music School offers six choirs for singers in grades 2-12. Singers in grades 3-12 are welcome to complete an audition for placement in one of our six choirs. Singers in grades 2-4 who are new to Girl Choir are welcome to register for our non-auditioned Intro Choir.
Girl Choir auditions are brief, informal voice checks designed and led by our teachers, who strive to individually place each singer in the choir that will be the best fit for their vocal and musical development. The goal of the 10-minute audition is to get to know each singer and their voice so their choir placement enables their growth and success for the year ahead and beyond! There is no fee to audition.

All auditions will take place at the Lawrence Community Music School.
If you are unavailable on the dates listed below, please fill out the audition request form so our Artistic Director can contact you to arrange an alternate time.

Because of Girl Choir, my daughters have a rich understanding about the cultural relevance of many types of music. They appreciate how music enriches the lives of the singers and the audience. My girls experience singing as a universal language… They know that they need to give their all to their choir, and they have carried this into their schoolwork, team sports, and family obligations as well. My daughters light up on their rehearsal nights… they know they are about to do great things with great people!

Tuition and Financial Assistance
Tuition prices for the 2026-27 season are as listed below. There is an additional $19 annual registration fee for all Community Music School programs. Tuition assistance is available to families who demonstrate need.
