For over 30 years, the Lawrence Community Bands have brought together dedicated middle and high school musicians from across northeast Wisconsin to prepare challenging music and work toward a goal beyond the accepted norm. The Lawrence Community Bands program consists of two ensembles for woodwind, brass, and percussion students: Symphonic Band, our non-auditioned band, and Wind Ensemble, our honors band for advanced musicians. Ensembles rehearse weekly at the Lawrence Conservatory of Music and present joint concerts at the conclusion of each semester.

"I am a tenured musician with a major US orchestra and have a D.M.A. in clarinet performance. My involvement in these programs gave me a formidable foundation on which to build a career in music performance. I cherish the memories and friends I made in both the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble two decades later."
