Bel Canto [bell CAHN-toe] is our auditioned choir for singers in grades 10-12 whose voices have changed. Bel Canto explores historical, theoretical, and cultural aspects of a wide range of advanced music for treble voices through which singers can better understand themselves, music, and the larger world. The choir rehearses weekly and each semester concludes with performances in the combined Girl Choir concerts on the stage of the Lawrence Memorial Chapel.

Spring 2025 Semester

"Through the songs we have sung in Girl Choir, I have learned to find my voice as a young woman in the world by exploring cultures, languages, and so much more. I have also been able to truly claim my voice as a musician and be confident in myself and the unique beauty of my voice."
